I think I want to get a new chain.

What's the deal on them? Any suggestions on brand, type, etc.?

Some folks could use chains on their tires smile.gif

I just drove the length of 190 and every overpass had crashed cars stacked up.

Check out AFAM kits... Chain and sprockets all in one package. You can pick the up at the usual mail order houses or Audrey at MotoLiberty can order them.

BTW you should change your sprockets @ the same time... your new chain will last longer if you do.

I use DID 520VM gold x-ring on my Duc, which has a 3,450 wear life index and 520ERT gold race chain on the R6. The ER series is lighter weight, higher tensile strength but only a 420 rating on the wear life index. Your supposed to change the sprockets with the chain, depending on how bad it is worn out. I do not believe the race series is available in 525 but the VM series is. Chaparral has them in stock. BTW, I use AFAM steel sprockets on all my bikes.
