Time to live it up...

http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/risk/2004mn4.html

The latest update from NASA now gives 2004 MN4 a 1-in-37 chance (probability of 2.7%) of hitting Earth on April 13, 2029. That's a bump up from the 1-in-46 (2.2%) odds given this weekend and almost a 10x increase in probability from the original 1-in-300 odds announced late last week. Interesting times, indeed."

When it was 1 in 300 last week, scientists excected the odds to decrease as more measurements were taken. That don't seem to be unfolding.

It's a 400 m sized rock...extinction level event?

Mk. My math scores weren't the best in HS or college, but all I'm finding is a 1 in 71,000 chance on the site. (1.4e-05)
What am I missing?

This type of news always seems to crop up this time of year. It used to scare me as a child, but after hearing it so many times, it'll take me actually seeing the thing to worry.
