Well, It was an absolute blast as one might have expected. We went all over AR and rode some of the best roads. Pete Strezo and Myself left out on Thursday morning and arrived in Texarkana to meet the LA bunch within a 5 minute window. Talk about perfect timing. We got there that night and rode the following Friday. On Friday we rode a total of 378 miles. I had about 2/3 of tire left before we started and was just about to show the cords. So I picked up a new tire and had it installed in Russellville. With that all set, I set out on a blistering pace to wake up a Harley rider. I passed this guy on a Harley at about 165 and the guy nearly crashed cause he thought he heard a low flying aircraft coming right towards him. This guy ducked down and swerved like there was no tomorrow. LOL I was dying laughing. And I wasn't even close to him at all. He was trapped between 2 cars. So we made it back to the hotel and met Faisal there to our suprise. Then on to the next day, Saturday, we set out with Faisal, Pete, Chad, Sean, and myself. Had a great run until I suppected that someone went down when Pete and myself arrived at the next turnoff and no one showed within a few minutes. And sure enough, Chad had gone down in a 10mph turn. He and the bike was ok and not really harmed. So Sean and Chad decided to head back to the hotel for the day without telling anyone. I chased them down to verify that they indeed were going back and caught them in just the nick of time before they got on to I-40. So I gased back up and continued on the ride with Faisal and Pete. The ride went on flawlessly until I missed the turn for AK Hwy 7. I slammed on the brakes and was going to turn around when the next thing I heard was a skreeeeetch. It was Pete doing an emergency brake stop. He must have taken his eyes off of me a split second. Which resulted in him having to panic brake to keep from hitting me. But it didn't work out too well. Pete ended up hitting me right in the exhaust pipe and bent it up as well as himself and the bike doing a complete flip throughout the air. It was something spectacular to see as I recall Faisal's words. All in all, Pete broke his hand and should be seeing someone soon about fixing it up. His bike faired quite well considering it did a complete flip. Here are the pictures. Heal up quick Pete and let us know what the deal is with the hand.

****, that sucks for Pete. Does your exhaust have some type of strange impact attracting material inside? Isn't this like the 3rd or 4th time this has happened to you?
Heal up soon Pete!

I think the pipe must suck instead of blowing...or maybe other bikes are attracted to the the exotic metals such as Titanium!

The way my hand looked I had thought I shattered every bone in it but it turns out I only broke the metacarpal bone behind my middle finger knuckle and wrist. The swelling has gone down big time and things are looking more normal. The doc is referring me to a specialist becuase its broken at an angle and the line of fracture is long which makes it unstable. The ortho will decide whether it needs a pin or if it can be casted as is. All in all I think the bike and I faired quite well considering I flipped the bike over on top of myself.

I can't wait for the spring IBI! The only thing I'll do different is make sure I'm always behind Faisal since he seems to have the ability to crash the person directly in front of him! :D

Even though we got there the night before you were leaving, it was good to meet you guys.

Good attitude, and glad the injuries are only minor. When I knocked on your door, I had no idea what had happened. Still, it was good to meet you.

That's the one I broke too. I also broke the ring finger one right next to it.

Hey suddenstopping-Harleyscarin'-GSXRdriver guy? What is with you and exhaust cans? How many does this make for the 1K? That poor bike has seen a lot of action. Any thoughts about putting the old horse out to pasture? Some Richmond/Westhiemer crusin' squid would be glad to have that bike with it's pedigree.

Pete, hope the visit to the saw-bones goes well. Oh BTW, I have a little JB Weld left over, but you'll have to get your own red paint :D

No new bikes for me anytime soon. At least not till I build my new house. I gotta keep the priorities crooked. As far as riding buddies Tony, you have to ride to be a riding buddy... tongue.gif bwahahahahah!....Seriously, The IBI is coming up...are you going to go to it? I am trailering up after work on Friday...or actually I have that Friday off so I might leave earlier. Good luck finding a room though...they were all booked up...I got the last one that I could find. It supposedly sleeps 5 though.

Pete, glad you & the bike came out in pretty good shape. Now you just have to see which will heal faster, the hand or the bike.

At least your bike doesn't look like this:
