I finally got my web host to function so I can attach photos of the bandit 400 I just bought.
these were taken after chris left and before it was cleaned and I started disassembling everything.

you can see the stock exhaust and a box of parts in the background of the first 2 pics. the bike also came with a second box of parts, a spare set of wheels and a service manual which aren't pictured.
I split the cost ($750 for everything) with a friend and we're going to use it for track days. it has been very nostalgic tinkering with it over the last few days. :D
here are a coupe of pics of my old bandit (the biggest differences between the two are the dual jdm calipers/rotors and the black frame):
