Let's move on this if it pleases yall http://www.cycleforums.com/forums/images/smilies/coolgleamA.gif

I say, let's purchase the tickets for the track day on May 10th, if we don't sell at least 40 to the Houston chapter by April 30th, we open the raffle to all of the chapters. Drawing to end on May 5th.

If anyone has any ideas regarding the tire raffle idea (seems there was some positive response http://www.cycleforums.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif ), let 'er rip!

Tom, get me a price for a track day please.

I think May the 10th is too soon. We cannot even get the funds approved until May 1st, then we have to start getting the raffle started etc. What is the next available date after May 10th?

Check the web site here (http://www.lonestartrackdays.com/html/schedule.html) for the web schedule or-

Here is the schedule:
::: Monday, May 10 @ Texas World Speedway

::: Monday, June 7 @ The Motorsport Ranch (backwards)

::: Monday, July 5 @ Texas World Speedway

::: Monday, July 26 @ The Motorsport Ranch

::: Monday, August 9 @ Texas World Speedway

::: Monday, August 23 @ The Motorsport Ranch (backwards)

::: Sat. & Sun., September 18 & 19 @ Texas World Speedway

::: Monday, October 4th @ The Motorsport Ranch

::: Sat. & Sun., October 23 & 24 @ Texas World Speedway

Here is the pricing:

Individual regular - $150

Individual with LSTD Riding School - $180

Individual with CMRA/CCS racing license training - $200

Go to their web site (http://www.lonestartrackdays.com) for questions about how to prep the bike, what to wear, where to get gear to rent, what group you should ride in- etc.

I am pretty sure that if we purchase early enough, they may work with us on what group our winner(s) will get to ride in since I think they want you to tell them what group you are signing up for when you register. May be best to buy "C" group track days and let the better riders migrate up (they will move faster riders up if they need to).

Got it. We'll get this up for a vote for the funds at May's meeting and then get some feed back on a date. Maybe we will let the winner pick a date that best fits their schedule.
