Whatever a new one is 21,ooo. Show me a new Ducati for 18k. Remember, all Ducati's are mark up at all the dealerships. MSRP are a joke.

What this exhaust cost? Some people just don't expect to lose when they pay the extra 3-4 grand at the dealer. Ask him if he'll take $13,000 for it.

An "S" mode is $21k; the S only comes in red or black, so this is a standard. Everyone I have ever heard of in the last year has paid msrp or less and I've been on the Ducati board since January of 07.
If you want a deal, check the Ducati forum, there was an 07 S model, with extras, and 1300 miles, for $18.5K (also an 08 S on ebay for $15K).

Dude, wake up and smell the coffee. You think we are making this up. Ricardo bought his in Houston for 21k. Remember tax tile and license +:na-na: dealership markups due to limited supply+ prep and assemble fee. Oh, and his is yellow. What planet are you from. I hope Earth. The S model is 25K and the R is 36K. Ask any ducati dealership. I'm talking about 2008 models. Remember his is a 2008. Prove your point. Or just don't waste our time. Need reliable info Dude. :na-na:

Well, All I can say to you Vee4riders and your buddy Paul Sonderfan is that burgers aren't nickle and dimes anymore. My friend just bought a 848 and out the door it was 16k. It is called inflation buddy. :applause:

OK, so we can quote out the door prices for the bike? If you can find an "r" for 36K out the door, you oughta buy it. List is $39,995. Here is a link to AMS, http://www.advancedmotorsports.com/SearchResults.asp probably one of the best Duc shops around. The 1098 has a more limited prodcution than the D16; if anything will be marked up due to limited supply, it would be this example. How's that for realiable info?

I went with a buddy to pick up his 1098R there, it sure as hell wasn't 36K, and he actually got a very good deal on it.

I don't doubt Ricardo paid 21K (if it's an S, or if he bought it "non-S" from a shop here in Houston known for routinely having ridiculous mark-ups), that's the price at list. For more good info, what most people shoot for is OTD near list and you can usually get it.

The thing about Ducatis that many don't seem to get, you can add stuff to them all day long; the reality is that when you sell it, it doesn't add near what you put it into it.

Thanks, Hank. NO, NONE, NADA Ducati dealeers were marking them up when I bought mine, that was when there was a waiting list. Now they're sitting on the dealer floors. My S was $19,995 with only tt&l and the Termingnoni pipes added....$23k and change.
Mario, you are telling us what you "heard". I'm telling you what I KNOW.

What's your point? Let's stop whoring up this guys thread. He's just wanting to spread the word and help sell this Duc. (finders fee not included):naughty: So for an almost brand new 08 Ducati 1098 barely broken in engine never raced and always garaged plus never left alone on bike stands running up miles. $18,000 firm price. Thanks for listing. Bump for ya!:yippee:

PW'ing not intended. I wish the seller well. I just have a pet peeve about people giving out bad info and then trying to stand behind with some flippant comment and no facts. I believe the technical term is "talking out of your @$$".

So again, good luck with the sale. It is a fantastic bike, S or non-S.

Why would a buyer want to pay for the original buyer's TT&L? That's an expense of buying/owning a bike, not an asset that transfers w/ the bike. After all, the 2nd buyer will have to pay it again.

BTW, last I heard the yellow ones had the same MSRP as the red ones.

Good luck to the seller!

Just spoke with Ricardo. He spoke with someone in the Ducati Dealership and they told him that his Yellow Ducati 1098 with 1,600 miles sells for
$15,200.00

So, he has adjusted his selling price to $15,200.00
Thanks everyone.
