Well after my first track day, I'm ready to give it a go again. I finally got my track bike after a long wait. It should be a little easier to manage compared to the Green Meanie Monster Energy ZX10 that I was riding at Harris Hill! Thank you Rick for letting me use your bike on the track.
The bike is a 2004 749R. I managed to trace some of it's history and it was actually raced at Barber. It has Sebimoto race skins, Safety wired ready, Remus Exhaust, Power Commander III, aftermarket rear sets, Ferracci fuel tank cap, quarter race throttle, Puig screen. Hope to be able to do another trackday this month and for sure at Ridesmart day on Memorial day at TWS.
Oh, here is a picture in its Race ready state.

oh yeah, the swingarm is not an 04, the 03/04's had a gray cast swingarm, that swingarm came off a 05/06 bike
Congrats!!

Sorry. Very tired. Can't seem to get other pics posted.
So far I have only put about 100 miles on the bike and it's by the far the most unusual bike I have ridden. The dry clutch does take getting some use to, The bike should be a dream on the track, with all the good parts on the bike. The bike also happens to be number 0189 out of about 600 made in 2004. So I really don't want to wad up the bike.
Now to get some sliders for it and then...:happyrider:

Thanks everyone! Can't wait to get out onto the track on my own bike!
But, I neglected to give a Great Big Shout Out to TRUMAN!
The Official RGV TSBA Head of Engineering. He was able to restore the old Ducati to it's former Race condition as it had been sitting for about a year without use. He even remapped the ECU and gave the 749R alots of TLC before even letting me pull a leg over it.
Thank you again amigo!:applause:
The bike runs awesome!:happyrider:
It pulls strong and everything works like it was brand spanking new! And man, Those short Remus cans are LOUD!
I guess I finally joined the club of "loud pipes save lives" huh?:lmao:
Great work Truman!
Hope to return to Harris Hill this month if I can.

Sweet Bike!!! The track was the only place I really liked my 999R. They are just made to be there. ...on rails...

Wrong. You suck. :naughty:

The 04 749R was the first to recieve the "newer" swingarm.

Holy cow....Miykl finally got something right....the 749R's first yr was the 2004 and it had the newer swingarm that the 999/s/r 05+ would have on them....
