Great, another board to surf during working hours. This is definitely an improvement over the email barrages the mailing list generates on occassion.

Exaclty what I thought! It should work out better for most folks. I did not mind the email, and sometimes find the boards time consuming. But I still think this will work better.

Did you get your wheel straight? Last I heard you bent it And if you ever need the name of a very good lawyer (Asst. DA John Kuntz recommends him) I've used let me know!

Found another wheel on ebay, so the bent one is now my "drag race only" wheel, along with the patched tire that has 360 whole miles on it.

The TX DOT did respond to me saying that upon inspection of the pothole they ordered an immediate lane closure and emergency repair, unfortunately they had "no provision" for making financial reparations. Surprise.

Oh well, I should be back in the saddle by week's end.

You can file a claim with them. I had a friend wipe out on some freshly graveled, non marked construction and they paid to
fix his bike. That might have been the contracter they filed against tho. Potholes may just be a consequence of using public roads. At least they fixed it quick.

I dunno. You may be able to go after TxDot. Especially if there had been any complaints about the pothole. I know there has been claims against TxDot for those **** tar snakes they put down to supposedly seal cracks in the road, like they did to Park Rd 37. There was not a thing wrong with that road and they went out and put a bunch of tar strips across the road. Makes it all slippery for motorcyclist's.

I may be going to the TMRAII meeting Wed. night. I'll ask those guys.
