Default Obstacle Fun Day, Sunday, June 24th

Obstacle Fun Day this Sunday from 11:00AM until the last rider wears out. (or the sun goes down) on the banks of the Trinity river. Doesn't get much better.
We'll be having it at the Shriners Motor Corps building in downtown Fort Worth. Here's a map:

Don't feel like risking your street bike on a tight obstacle course.. fine, come out and wreck one of a couple '81 kz440's they are built to take it.

free water, soda and beer available (first sip of alcohol means you are done on the course for the day)
    video from a previous day

great fun and a great way to improve your low speed street skills

I'm going to bring my little brother out. He's a cone killer looking for some instruction and seat time.

    you've been warned!

Yay, another run at the obstacle course! Hopefully I can kill less cones this time...

I might be there, I'll know toward the end of the week for sure.

Sorry I didn't make it out today. I was out until 6:00 am this morning with work. That and still packing to move it just wasn't in the plans. I will get out more after the move.

Great fun as always. Cressa was sooooooo proud of herself for going through the cones. She did quite well for her first time on a street bike and only second time on ANY bike.

Wow, what a great time! We had close to 30 folks show up over the course of the day, and we rode nonstop for 8 solid hours!

Cressa has the balance of God himself. Holy cow. When she gets some saddle time, she's going to be hard to keep up with.

Miykl (foolishly) handed me his brand-spankin'-new SV-S with 160 miles on the clock, and I ran it through. Butter-smooth throttle, just amazing.

Tracy () let me run her FZ6 (?) through, and because of the lock-to-lock it was the easiest to ram through. I did browbeat her into riding through a few times.

Her companion wouldn't run through, but he redeemed himself by letting me ride his ZX-10R through.

Roach's brother showed up with his girlfriend Leila (Liela?), who had never ridden a real bike before. By golly, with almost no prompting she jumped on and rode all over the place.

Ben's brother is just fantastically smooth. Where Ben was fast via brute force, Jonathan was just wonderfully polished. And, yes, he did let me run his 955i Speed Triple through.

Andrew from Weatherford on his Duc 998 spent by far the most saddle time of the day, and improved tremendously by the time he just plumb wore out.

There were so many more folks there that I simply can't cover them all, but a big thanks to everyone who showed up and made this such a runaway success. An even bigger thanks to those who let me run their bikes through.

    What a day!
