Oh, well, it's really not much better here.

Although the sun is shining right now and there is some in the forecast.

But it looks like we're going to spend the weekend sitting inside the trailer drinking rum and playing cards.

There's worse ways to spend the day I guess.

Waiting on someone to check an interface table and determine if the code we modified is populating the correct data now.

Oh, there he is. Gotta run.

Oh, and you responded. What are you doing?

We're landing a pico probe on a CMOS circuit test pad only a few Angstroms wide. Offcourse the tough part is the FIB (Fixed Ion Beam) cross sectioning.

Now I'm waiting for a developer to respond because his code isn't doing what the spec said it was supposed to do.
In fact, it's still doing exactly what it was doing before the change.

    Boy that's maddening.

Did he completely misunderstand the requirement?
Did the code not deploy to QC?

It's so darn frustrating when NOTHING appears to have been done.

    Man that's small.

An Angstrom (abbreviated Å) is one ten-billionth (1/10,000,000,000) of a meter. A hydrogen atom measures about 1 Å across.

    Don't you love those calls?
When you have to prove that you know more than the support guy that's supposed to be helping you so that you can get to someone at the company that really knows enough to solve your problem?

    LOL. Rant Friday.

    Bring it on.

how about when you have to find a problem, prove its "wrong", then offer solution and provide test cases...

a qoute from earlier in the week "What do you mean, you dont understand? I dont know how I can be more clear. I've provided a detailed description, numerous examples, XML feeds, and screen shots"

what happened to the customer was always right?

I spent my day fixing sh!t that other people broke and then other people tried to fix but broke worse. Oh, and when I wasn't doing that, I was updating user profiles in preprod before they yank our access to go live. Kill me.

I thought an Angstrom was the new '08 Suzuki adventure tourer.

You know! The one with the look of apprehension when approaching dirt surfaces.
