1330. There are locations on the route where one could turn around and return early if needed.

First Bill causes us to get a safety lecture by one of our states finest, then he goes off and leaves me with a flat tire. What's up with that Bill?

It was a fun ride despite the various unplanned events. It was a pleasure to meet the nice police officer -- we now have a standing invitation for a home made Sunday dinner (didn't he invite us to Sunday dinner after the mini-seminar on safety??). We also learned that it's better to use the glue when plugging a tire. And the food at Luna Azul is still just as good even while our favorite senorita is on maternity leave. Great weather for a ride this time of year -- the balmy temperature made the wind quite tolerable...

Oh yeah -- And Mikyl even had a chance to deploy his secret agent oil fog again... Too bad he wasn't with us when we were being chased by the police officer.

ya....I fell victom to another coon-mod. ....same exact mod* I've done on at least 10 bikes. ...guess this one doesn't like it. No worries, 15 minutes is all it took to put the stock piece back in place.

*K&N crank case breather on a foot long section of hose. Prevents the motor from sucing heated oil mist (go fast mod). Unfortuate side effect is slight over filling on the last oil change and running 11k rpm soaked my rear tire with oil. ...we'll let the motor suck those oily fumes for now on.

    ******************************

Starting to think my mind is never gonna get right with riding again. Everyone tells me it's b/c I haven't had the seat time this year. I guess they are right, but it sure sux when it just isn't fun any more.

We started off with six riders, Gary L woke up late but caught up at Ida road. Billy did not make the morning rendezvous point but joined us at Whitewright for a few miles before the good cop skeered him and he vanished as Darren had a flat, then Darren had another flat. Michael made another performance mod to his airbox resulting in oil spew. Luna Azul has new highly qualified wait staff, Sean you listening?

Trooper encounter with no tickets (although we got warned that we came // this close to getting new bung-holes ripped out), no wrecks, oil spewage, 2 flats, good roads, all the elements of fun were present. I forgot my camera, Gary L has big beard! now looks like 40's porn star.

Darren, you had 2 flats on different spots of the tire or first plug was spewed out? Strange, in either case.

He had a flat, stopped and turned the tire over, and found out it was flat on the other side too!

Not so simple, there was one flat only. The first plug was thick and non sticky and would not go in no matter how much the tire was reameafied, the quick extract method would putt the plug out too even after tool notch adjustment, plug got discarded, Billy went missing. Then we switched plug to the regular thin/sticky kind, some idiot mentioned that since the diameter is now bigger do not use glue as it would only ease the "spit plug out" process, wrong. That plug got spit out! this time no mo reamification happened, glue was used. In the meantime a weird Samaritan with seriously jacked up teeth and strange physique stopped and asked if we knew who owned that yonder land as he wanted to buy it! then went to the telephone pole to try to find signs of owner, then asked us something about the good lordy and X-Mass. Long story short the 2nd plug held up.

    What the hell!!!!!
I had no idea that Darren had gotten a flat!

After the 13hundreth rock zinged off my helmet (holy CRAP the roads are filled with rocks these days) I decided to move to the front. I stopped at 2990 jnct and waited a minute or so, then figured that y'all must have turned off to head to Windom. I backtracked to the first right-left after the left-right jog and waited for another minute before turning back around and heading to Windon. Then to Roxton, Ben Franklin, gassed up at Wolf City, then back to Bonham. I figured that I had misunderstood where we were going and simply got myself seperated from the group by pulling a bone-head move.

Still it was a great day to ride once the drizzling of the a.m. stopped and the roads were blown dry by the freaking 20+ mph gusts!

well I did get out of bed at 0715, but quickly realized my Blood Alcohol Level was still to high to ride , if we would have started at noon I think I would have been ok but you know it is a good evening when you hear the words from a beautiful 23 yr old girl in a micro mini asking your wife on the dance floor " do mind if I hump your husband" and your wifes response is " sure, you take that leg I will take this one" and then her other friend goes "cool I will take the middle" it was a rough night but somebody has to do it

I was on a mission to get a ride in yesterday...I knew heading to the club with ya'll would have made that a negative. You're just a bad influence!

Did you notice that Bill tried to out us also,

Officer, I'm a local country boy from Denison. I always respect our small town residents, but all these other guys are from Dallas, and they have no respect for anything.

    Gee, thanks again Bill.
