    Default Rancho El Charco

I was wondering. Does anyone want to go eat there one of these days?

Sure!!! Been there many times on the bike. They are bike friendly there. Ride I call the "Urban Run" ties in nicely to finish at El Charco.

Can we do both? That way those that can't make the SMR can ride at night.

In fact, how about night rides on Fri or Sat? That way we don't make Sunday too busy?

Before I forget, I'd like for at least one of those rides to finish at El Charco. I can go on both Fri night and Sunday morning.

Well I DID ride out there last Sat. and Sunday!
We even happen to catch a free show of a water snake eating and swallow whole a med. size cat fish! I didn't think he could do it!
(this was a classic example of mother nature's food chain in action)

They are now open at noon and close at I believe midnight or two am.
Also I happen to know the current manager Jonathan.
Well if anyone wants to do a afternoon ride, then let's do one!
    SAT. 04/10/2010 I'm off work at 4:00pm-8pm.
We can plan ride from 4pm-8pm.
SUN. 04/11/2010 We can do a repeat of the Sat. ride from 4pm-8pm also.
(I am always open to suggestions.)

Update: Food has really improved since my last visit and service was noticeably quicker. They serving sizes have increased also!
Thanks for posting up this idea James!

You're welcome Mase. Actually, I do remember you mentioning that you went last weekend. And ever since Scott showed us this place, I've been wanting to go back. The restaurant looks awesome.

Ok, I think I can be in McAllen by 6 pm on Saturday. If this works out, do we meet where we normally start our SMR?

If this gets to be too last minute, I don't mind waiting for another try later on. Maybe Randy's urban run?

For this ride we will meet up at a different location. A location that will be somewhat closer say in McAllen. Location still pending. Will update later today.

I think a good starting point would be the Starbuck's Coffee on the southwest corner of 10th and Expressway 83. And here is the link to a Google Map of the "Urban Run":

That's a bummer Kasey. Maybe you can meet us at the restaurant on your Hummer?
