    Arrow IBI ride-up 10/09

I need to get an idea of who is riding up with me Saturday morning to the IBI.
Our meet-up location is the parking lot on the corner of IH10 and Ralph Fair Rd. at the Exxon(McDonalds)
We are starting the IBI from Leakey this year instead of Kerrville, so the departure for that location is at 7:15 a.m. sharp from the parking lot.
I am taking the most direct route to Leakey and will post the route later.
I am also returning that late afternoon back home.

What time does the ride leave from leaky? Might meet you guys there for the ride.

After only 78 miles in 3 hours last week, I'm 100% in!

    That was different wasn't it.

There were some lengthy stops and at the pace they were running up front, which was really quick, 78 miles wasn't all that much seat time.

    It was interesting.

Meet us at the Texaco south of 337 in Leakey. We will need to top off the tanks there.

About 300 miles of pure riding pleasure. That's what I'm talkin' about! For me, TSBA ROCKS! Thanks STMark for leading the "sedate" group. GTX Mark, wish you the best. Hope to see you soon. And Carl, you can call me "crash" if I can call you "buzzard head" Hope you're okay.

    Thumbs up Home safe

I had a good time myself. Almost 400 miles for me.
I had problems with my radar and my chatterbox all day but turned out I didn't need them anyway. My group did very well and Charles was my shadow at every turn.
Thanks to everyone that allowed me to lead today and to Rick and Pat for the ride home.
Hoping for a fast recovery Mark and Angela.

I put in about 350 myself today. Had a good time. Thanks to Carl for the lead and to Gary for the company on the ride back to SA.

I was right there when Carl took out the buzzard. It was a direct hit to Carls noggin that left the buzzard 100% dead and lifeless on road. Thank goodness Carl has a thick skull.

GTX Mark... sorry to hear about you guys going down. Glad to hear that you were up and about after it happened.

That was a Turkey? When I passed it lying on the road I couldn't tell. Thought it was a buzzard.

I hear the government will be importing California condors to Texas.
    Now that's a real buzzard!
Of course they might haul you off to feed the kids!

Hate to hear Mark and Angela got skinned up. Glad I didn't see that.

That is two years in a row for the Fall IBI that we've had incidents. To put into perspective, it's been a rarety for anything to happen on these events and I can't remember, bar the previous two years, what the last one was.

None the less, it's something to look at and see what might be done to prevent future occurances.

See my recap and some photos in a "Recap" thread.

Yes, of course there was Bob, I had not forgotten. I was just referring to the Fall IBI ride in particular with my previous comment.
