PM Derf. I think Fred may be looking to unload his trailer, but I am not 100% sure.

I have 8x16.5' trailer. What is here he willing to pay? The trailer is enclosed with with rear door ramp and side door. I used it to haul my motorcycles and move from apartment to apartment. This is a dual axle unit.

Can you post some pictures and what brand trailer it is? I think he is wanting to pay low. He said he has found new ones range from 2,300 to 6k? I dunno the difference but if you tell me what brand it is he can get a better idea if it was in his price range. Don't wanna low ball you on a trailer I know nothing about.

Mine new was $6,000.00 in 2006. It has been stored under shelter when not in use. It is an American Hauler. My broken shoulder limits me to much getting around at the moment so pics will take me a while. However, it appears your friend probably does not want to pay fair value so I probably would not be interested in selling. It make things convenient for picking up furniture and moving my things and friends things.

Yes if it is a really expensive trailer you might be better off to keep it.
I dunno how much they depreciate or anything and you know how everyone is looking for a deal etc etc.

I totally understand and thanks for replying.
