    Default PING HANK!

We've booked a 4 day weekend at a B&B in Florence, CO mid June. Planning to bring the bike to ride one day (white water rafting through the Royal Gorge the other non travel day ). Would like to tap your knowledge of the surrounding roads to plan a nice day ride.

Anyone else that knows the immediate area I'd appreciate your input also. (Mr Crow?... )

Anyone interested in joining PM me. ...but we aren't modifying our plans any to accomidate.

Too far east from the Lake City area to know any roads but you should be able to find some good riding in the area. Renting a Jeep or ATV and go on some of the mountain trails would be a lot of fun too if you have time in your agenda.

Just mounted Nitto Terra Grapplers and a lift kit on Da Hoe* for just this reason.

Hopping to have a day of MC riding and a day/.5 day on the river, but have horseback riding, off roading, and antiquing () as back up activities. Looking forward to getting out of broadband and cell phone coverage areas. ...but am being required to bring the satelite phone with me.

Da Hoe will be fine although it will be like a tank up there, especially if you go on some shelf roads. Kinda like my rex in the Hill Country. It'll still get the job done, just a little more work required.

Not looking for much more than gravel/dirt roads. I'm not an experienced off roader. ...unless performing a double front flip with a 2.5 spin off a levee in an S-10 Blazer count as experience.

Well, you have the Royal Gorge Bridge close by, and there's Pike's Peak.

Here's a link that I've found useful for CO / UT riding:

    Colorado Day Loop Rides

You'll have to research some of the rides for Eastern CO and figure out what will work from where your at.

Decided I'm too worn out to make the 13 hr drive. CO reservations cancelled.

Replaced with a 5 star all inclusive resort in Cancun. Sun, sand, and umbrella drinks here I come!!
