How could he know that you went down? You always feel 600lbs force on your outside turn leg. That is how you know you are doing it right.

Sucks that you have to fit the bill. Good that the organization took care of it on there end, from a safety stand point.

That is a real bummer. Hope you are OK and the damage to the bike isn't too bad. Glad Fastline took the right action as well.

Guys, this is a slippery slope. Next time you get in to a corner too hot and crash which ends up taking another rider too, are you going to pay them?

I get where you guys are going here, but we all take the chance when we sign up for track days of something happening that is beyond our control/ not our own making. We are putting our lives in the hands of everyone we share the track with at the most, and we are financially putting ourselves at risk at the least.

Personally, I wouldn't accept any money from the dude. Not preachin', just sayin'.

And before anyone says anything, yes, I have been involved with such an incident as the "recipient" and "cause".

From the video perspective, it looks like a bone-head move. Other options could be that he made a mistake, had a mechanical issue, over-cooked the entry... you name it. Ever make a mistake? Happened to me once.

Look, I'm not trying to defend the guy, I don't even know what happened other than the milliseconds in the video. All I'm saying is that next time, it could be you causing a crash.

All I expect from anyone who causes me to crash is to come by and say, "sorry" and check to see if I'm ok. That's what I would do. I don't expect anyone to be monetarily responsible for my damage, it's the chance I take. If I can't afford to crash, for whatever reason, I don't need to be out there. This would include medical and work issues. Carry good insurance for health, work, and mechanical damages.

Tom, if that guy had hit you, he probably would have bounced off and been the one in the dirt.

Alex, was good to see that your bike did not flip, so hoping the damage is minimal (scuffs, pegs, clip-ons, & such). BTW, you vid title said 'racer'...you had a 6-foot passing rule in a race?

Amazing how far a simple, "I'm sorry" will go if given.

I like most of Tom's post, but I've got a diffferent opinion about the money. (go figure) Anyway..., After I sign the waiver, I just hope for the best. I would not expect or ask for repair money. If another rider felt their actions were beyond reasonable for the situation, and offered to lessen my financial pain, good on them. I'd take the money.

That's happened before too... As recently as the Cresson 1.3 event this year!

Accidents happen, but when you put someone in the dirt, and absolutely know you did it, and make absolutely no attempt to apologize until you're caugh red handed on film, that's the issue here.

I'm with alex on this one, but i wouldn't be in that situation, there's no way i'd walk away from doing that to another rider. Simple accidents happen, but that was way out of line.

Reality = Video = Did i miss a perspective here? I saw this guy riding poorly all day. This wasn't a "one of" slip, this was how he rode.

Michael, go back and read the posts before you chimed in. The Fastline organization banned him from their future events. That pretty much settled that the guy was in the wrong in the eyes of those who were there and responsible for the event.

I read that. Just saying the two seconds of video doesn't tell the whole story. No arguement on guilt or not. Not my beef.

ehh..whatever.... Hope I never have you guys on my jury.
