Once again, we're not spending the night. We're off on vacation starting the next weekend and have lots to get ready.

Where is the ride depart point going to be Sat? Possible routes? I want to plan a ride up there for those leaving from San Antonio Sat morning.

I think I'm still coming. My wife is going out of town for work puposes, so I'm waiting a couple days to get her exact schedule, and complete my plans.

I can always stats at the Frio Canyon Lodge, if need be.

    Woohoo
38 degrees forecasted for Saturday morning in Leakey.
It wouldn't be the Fall IBI if it wasn't cold
If summer is the HTH IBI
Then the fall is the JTN IBI (justa tad nippy)

Chances are looking better I will make the ride for the day.

38? Well, I'll just adjust my windscreen & tuck behind my massive fairing .... no, wait.

Take your time coming up to Leakey, Mark.

    Thumbs up Great Time!

This Fals IBI started out a bit cool but turned into one of the better days for riding that we get in Texas! Thanks to all that came out to participate, it was good to see old and new faces. Darren, it's always good to see and ride with you! Just wish we'd see more DFW members attend so we all can meet one another! Oh, and there is some pretty decent riding south of AR guys!

It was mostly mid 30's on my ride out Sat morning and this year the radar detector worked and spared me TWICE from getting a driving award. Once in Leakey we got warmed up and waited for everyone else to get back from B'fast and then it was off around the 100 mile loop, across 337, down 187 and back to the Motorcycle Museum for lunch. Man, there were some bikes out! I belive the MSTA (formerly the HSTA, Honda Sport Touring Assc) was having thier rally the same weekend, and there were plenty of sport / sport tour bikes out. At least the bicyclists weren't bad this weekend.

After lunch I had to peel off and head home while the rest got to enjoy some more spectacular Hill Country riding. I had a great time as I'm sure everyone else did. Didn't get too many pics, but here is one at the start:

Looking forward to next years ride!

I had a great time this weekend!!! Carl and I met in Kendalia Friday morning. Temps were cool and the sun was in no hurry to come out. So we had some coffee...had a little more coffee...had a little more coffee. We headed out for Leakey via the fun route. When we got there we had some lunch, met up with Darren and ran the 100 mile loop. The sun was out by then and to say the weather was great would be an understatement.
Had a good time at dinner (Vinny's), had a couple of drinks by the fire and hit the sack.
Saturday's ride was excellent! Bryan led us at a very good pace and his radar detector saved us from some land speed certificates. Dinner was provided by Bryan and Deb and the SA club. Some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. Kind of like a Coopers run except I didn't have to ride home after I ate...whew! (Thanks guys, it was awesome!)
Sunday, Carl led Josh and me back to Kendalia where I broke off and headed to A-town.
I logged 748 miles this weekend. Excellent riding in perfect weather conditions!
I want to say thanks to our ride leaders and sweepers for a safe/error free (ticket free) weekend!
