You are welcome to park it on the street in front of my house. Will be safe there. However, I live in Clear Lake area (22 miles SE of downtown Houston), so probably not your best location choice. But if no one else chimes in, at least you have a backup plan.

Back up plan "b" is 15 miles N of Brookshire Tx. Inlaws have a place out there. Very out of the way coming up Us 59 but neverless a option.

So far you're my best option , 20 miles on a 650 mile road trip won't kill me. Much appreciated

Surprisingly, there is about 5 miles in Brookshire's favor. Either way should work out just fine. One thing to note, though. 290 after 430 pm is a parking lot. You avoid that with the Brookshire option.

I must be looking at the wrong brookshire, the one i see is off of 10W towards SA? I don't see anything off 59. Point to it on a map for me.

Brookahire is on IH-10w. It would be more on the way to TWS when u head there. U can cut up 60 from Hungerford off 59. As Kent says, mileage is provably bout the same.

If you want to stay on the big multi-lane freeways, and you don't mind dragging a 24-foot trailer through Houston, then my house is fine. If you want to avoid Houston with the trailer, then Brookshire may be a better choice for you.

My exit off I-45 is for Clear Lake City Blvd. It is a few miles south of Beltway 8. Go HERE to see a current traffic map. Click on the various segments of your intended route, then click the "Live Speed Chart" link in the pop-up to get average speeds by time of day for that segment.

Brookshire is due north from Hungerford on 59 via 60>1093>1489. On your way to the track, can take 359 north to the 290/6 split out of Brookshire.

It's a little farther out on the way up, but a whole lot closer on the way to the track! So that does look like the best option. I should be leaving there about 4 PM heading east on 10, is traffic retarded by then?

4pm weekdays is the start of the heavy stuff, especially as you near the 610 loop. Put some good tunes on the radio and take a prozac.

I have plenty of room here in Needville, which is near 59 and FM360 or here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=U.S.+5...77417&t=m&z=17
