Please welcome another new Member Randall (rand4ll).

Randall made is first ride with us about two weeks ago. He joined at the last meeting. He has a street triple and he says he wants to learn from us.

Questionable logic, he should fit right in

Couldn't make the IBI this go around, but next one I will definitely be there...

Oh, my name is Randall btw. I drive a Triumph Street Triple R, and am really enjoying it so far, until today that is, but that is...nothing that bad. Glad I finally found some time to come on here and post, i have been so busy at work lately that I just haven't found any time.

Anyways, I look forward to meeting everyone else soon, and can hopefully make another nice ride before the comfortable riding season ends...

Now to tell of my sad story for the day...
Left work early today as I was planning on riding to San Angelo to see some family, and most importantly leave tomorrow to head to the Dallas Cowboy's game. I get my luggage packed and mounted on my seat (new seat btw, Sargent!!), gassed up, added 2 psi to front and rear tires, both low a bit, and headed out. I was cruising about 75 down I-10 going west about 20mi outside of Boerne when all of a sudden my tach needle went to zero, my speedo displayed zero, no heat, shift indicator went missing, and all miles blanked out, the bike still ran fine, i could shift and speed up and everything. I finally pull off to the side of the road as an exit isn't coming soon enough. When I do I shut off the bike and start looking it over and can see nothing wrong, i had already checked all fluids and everything so wasn't worried about that either. I go to turn it back on and it won't start.

Well, I call Alamo BMW and they come and pick me up and were trying to fix it up quickly to get me back on the road, they couldn't figure it out by 3pm so I had to bail on that as it was too late for me to bring, I won't travel back highway roads in the dark in this weather, way too many deer. Now I am in San Angelo, but in my truck instead of on my bike, and when I left it didn't look like they had any idea what was going on, so here is to hoping it's not down too long

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the bike. Yeah, don't ever shut down a problematic bike unless your in civilization.

Hope they get that fixed up quickly... then lets RIDE!
