    Default Something must be wrong

After all the track days last year and finally getting my track bike set up with all the good stuff, ohlins suspension, steering dampener, 2 sets of wheels, lap timer, etc...., I have absolutely no motivation to go to the track right now. Actually I am in the process of putting lights on and getting inspection on the bike so I can ride it on the street.

Last year at this time I was itching to go and watching the weather for the best opportunity to hit the track. Right now, I am just sitting here, getting e-mails about upcoming track days, and don't feel like doing anything.

Don't get me wrong, I still want to ride, I just don't want to go through the ritual of going to the track.

    I think I need therapy.

Wait till April. Weather is too unpredicable in February and March anyway.

Also, could be that as you go faster and faster at the track, the likelihood of falling down goes up. Money comes out faster also as you eat up tires, trackday fees, hotels, doctor bills, etc.

Unfortunately for me, this is experience talking.

Motorcycle racing makes all other forms of riding feel bland.

Maybe for those that can only concentrate for a few laps at a time w/o crashing?

    Default Rant...

Ok in my case I feel exactly the same Oskar! I will say this we all know the risk and the gratification of riding thats why we do track days or for those who race the competion comradery but is it possible we and or I just cant get motivated due to that thing called "responsability" we have all gone down and yes its not if but when and no i went back and "Got back on the horse" and went in faster and came out faster than i ever did through that particular corner and entire track eyes wide open. But it made me think.....WHAT IF ...what if next time that rib does go through my lung or i am put up in bed for a long period of time yea yea i know it can happen anywere duhhh!!! Especialy in my line of work.I can say this riding is my strss reliever and for my girl as well ...he11 we love riding i love the track !! And have a 100% backing from all in my family but i just cant get motivated ... I got to fix that!!

Ok my rant is over carry on....

    Cool

Nothing wrong Oskar. Probably just a change in priorities, or a bit burned out on it. Just roll with it...I lost the desire to work a few years ago...so far so good!

Maybe time to try out another hobby or dig into another interest for a while.

I've lost that a while back too, but I got to pay the bills .

Jesse, my family is all behind me on going to the track too, but I just don't want to. Maybe I'll take a break for a while, ride a little on the street / back roads and then see if I get motivated for the track again. If not, then I have a perfect street / track bike that will be going up for sale.

Oskar, that feeling is normal. But let me speak from my experience..., once you exit turn 2 at tws, your apathy will have already evaporated

Actually, I want a Caddy - this one. And I would not mind living in Florida on a beach. I guess I'm old.

I'm from Florida, therefore, I'm automatically cooler than you guys.lol

The good side of fl. is our tracks are open all year around. I've done Homesteand, Palm Beach and Jennings in NOV-FEB. PLUS we had a privately owned track in Port Richey 2 miles from my house.
