Default Spies Quits - Hayden with Ducati - MotoGP Crazy

One minute Ben Spies is quitting Yamaha and the next Hayden gets Ducati renewed contract. Wow what craziness is this? Lorenzo wants a competitive teammate when hearing Rossi wants in at Yamaha ... is this a slap in the face to Rossi? Is BMW into MotoGP soon?

Spies has something up his sleeve or he wouldn't have given the finger to Yamaha on his way out the door (and that's the vibe I got from his announcement). So, who else does he have close ties with? Suzuki. So does that mean Suzuki re-entry to MotoGP? They've talked about it for a while and development bike photos are out and about. So maybe Spies will lead that charge? Or maybe Spies+House will take a Yosh+factory backed superbike to WSBK? Interesting times for sure...

Suzuki has said they will return to MotoGP in 2014, and rumor has it Spies may do SBK. On a Suzuki? Maybe, might just fit right in with there plans to get back to MotoGP. With Melandri and his team mate out of an SBK ride it might work out that they could go to MotoGP on a BMW. Time will tell.

That's definitely the vibe I got as well. I sense underlying tensions beyond just his performance issues this year.

My speculation was that he's not getting the setup effort/support that Lorenzo gets. I just don't remember Spies ever being as wreck prone. He keeps losing the front when pushing. Is it man or machine?

Spies has never wrecked so much that I can remember. This last weekend at Laguna his swingarm failed.

If Lorenzo did push out Spies than there is payback as he hates Rossi and Yamaha may sign him. What a crazy happening with the swing arm. Did Rossi have something to do with that to insure an early sign up? Yikes

Jorge commented that he "...needed a team mate that was more competetive...". My bet is Crutchlow to team Yammie.

That would be my bet. Sounding more like Rossi will stay at Ducati. With the company changing hands he has been promised more help with R&D and getting him the changes he wants faster than it has been going.

Yamaha to Spies: Your fired at the end of the season, but keep it quiet please.

Spies to Yamaha: Go Fvck yourself.

My thoughts too. Lorenzo dislikes Rossi, what a great team for next year Yamaha riders smashing each other out and Spies wins on BMW.

What are the odds that Josh Hayes will be in WSB as well. Could be a great year of racing next year as well in WSB. MotoGP is getting boring since very little action unless it rains.

Chaos at Yamaha next year. With Stoner gone there should be no excuses, but I bet Rossi and Lorenzo take each other out a couple of times.

Now that Spies is going to BMW does that mean 2014 MotoGP entry by BMW?

Loving it! This should make an interesting season next year, and like Dovi did with Honda last year, they should push real hard!

So Spies has a very unlucky year with some unexplained crashes, a chunked tire issue, and a swingarm that self destructed. And Rossi is well known for his voodoo curses, a la Sete Gibernau. And now Rossi takes Spies' ride. Hmmmm.........

Wow, Spies looking good today at Indy! Rossi not! Rossi says he is gambling his reputation by going back to Yamaha. He has everything to gain or lose? He was a back stabber, but knew how to play people so he was not a villain. Will Rossi be a retired hero or a has been? Huumm
