    Default Headed to Barber!

Slumming with my FZ1 to Georgia and then Alabama in a couple of weeks with my buddy Edgar (of Duc 916 fame) on an MV Agusta group ride weekend that finishes off with a private track day at Barber. We should be getting a couple of days of good riding in around the area as well. I'll take some pics!

Tell Edgar that his loss is STILL my gain. I'm enjoying that "new" 916. Have fun and be careful...those are NOT mutually exclusive.

Just got back from that very area. Had a blast, and so will you! Be sure and do Cherohala Skyway. Better than the Dragon. Lots of good roads all around that area and what contryside! Leaves were just starting to change and should be spectacular when you get there. Thought I wanted to retire to the Hill Country, but the Smokey Mtn's look very inviting!

    to everything Gary said.

I just got back a week or so ago. Did the Smoky's and hit the Barber museum on the way back. It was excellent!!!

The Dragon can get crazy on the weekends, but it was great on the Monday morning we rode it. The Dragon was fun with all the banking and curves, but it is tight and not much scenery, which it good because you don't need any distractions. I enjoyed the Skyway more, but it is a different ride. We only had 2 1/2 days to explore the Smoky's and that wasn't enough time.

Had a blast, ended up staying in the region for a week riding in Ga, Al, Tn and NC and rode the infamous Dragon and Skyway. Spent a full day touring the museum at Barber and did a trackday - not at barber. Edgar misinfomed me - the trackday was at a local track in Birmingham called little Taledega Still all good, we had a great time, the weather was perfect and it was the best road riding area I've encountered. I will definetly be going back. I will post up some pics later.

I've driven Little Taladega several times. Kinda fun, kinda small, but it will never be mistaken for Barber. Glad to hear you made it back ok.
