    Default RF Remotes

I hope someone in the wide world of TSBA can help.

Was asked by one of the band directors at the high school what it would take to "learn" the signal from three nearly identical RF remotes so he could hit one key on a PC/MAC to transmit a signal for all three remotes. The only diffrence in the remotes that I am aware of is the unique ID. I think I have worked out most of this once I have what to transmit for each button on each remote but can't figure out how to capture that bit of info.

Anyone have any experiance with this?

We use a PLC to communicate with about 15 RF readers to keep track of about 100 pallets that have RF tags on them. The RF readers use their own controller and communicate serial to the PLC.

Thanks Brian but I am looking to send data in the other direction. I think I found a USB transceiver made by the same folks that offer the remote and controller. If that is the case I should be able to plug in the device , open hyper terminal and just record the sequence for each button press.... In theory
