Cool LSTD at TWS on June 1st and 2nd

Anyone going to this trackday weekend.
I planned to cornerwork Saturday and ride Sunday but I might have a friend cornerwork for me so I can do both days...maybe.

Dont feel to bad, it looks like I am the only TSBA guy doing COTA that same weekend. Come join me at COTA? After the cost of the track day, gas, food and a place to stay (if you dont camp) it would only cost you a $100 buck more to do COTA. As for it being sold out, Look around some bike BBS, I know some people cant make it and would love to unload the track day.

I am doing Saturday for sure. Hope to see you around.
Probably get to the track late Friday, drop off the bikes and stay in a hotel.
I am doing novice group to ride with my friend Rick. He has not been on the track for a while and I am still learning my VFR handling.

I can't get my suspension rebuilt fast enough.
That is what I get for waiting for parts to come from Canada.

somehow i will just have to do all the work i have for saturday and sunday, on sunday. why? because i'll be at the tws on saturday. time to go home and pack the trailer, it'll be an early drive. LSTD @ TWS is pretty darn difficult to pass up.

    Hey David
I saw you at the driver meeting. Wasn't it great with such few people per session? There were only 12 riders in my group. Felt like I had the track to myself

Only one crash all day...hope he/she was alright.

i was especially anti social on saturday. was hoping to get some rest between sessions, but needed suspension tuning, then had to change tires. on the track, i actually prefer a bit more traffic. i didn't find anyone moving at a pace i could settle in to. a few were too fast, and a few were too slow. i did need to spend some time getting the suspension adjusted, but that is an exercise in futility for me. recently had the shock and forks rebuilt, and now the bike feels foreign. seems like the adjustments move the problem around. the suspension tech has to wonder why i ride at all. also a new front brake cylinder. i really preferred the old mushy one, but tech was beginning to question it. been working all the time recently, so the day ended early when about 4pm i felt 'off'. came into the pits, parked the bike and passed out in front of the ac. for almost 2 hours. exhausted. only been at work for the last 14 hours, and several to go. monday will start at 7am. tuesday will start at 5am with a drive to ft.worth. does it sound like i'm complaining about work? i'm not, its just a reality. if i'm complaining, its about missing so many track days. i really need to get a grip. but hoping this week work relents and i can go to NOLA next weekend. there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is Barber in august with TrackTactics.

it is not just me getting old and wimpy, TWS has a few more bumps each year, and they are beginning to add up. But turn 1 and 2 make it all worth it.

    Where are the photos???
    Is it still Hart Photography?
I kind of wished the girl taking the photos was out on the track the last couple of sessions, after we had a chance to put everything together. That is body position and race lines.

many times the main guy is at another event when there are two at the same time. This was either an assistant or another company. Either way, does anyone know the website?

YES IT WAS!!! But only for a few seconds. Turn 3 would come quick, if you did not get that right, you would blow 4 and 5. You could recover going into turn 6, but that would take set up time away for turns 7,8,9.

They are going to try and do it again next year, save your money and go both days. I had waaaaayyyy more fun on Sunday, because I had a good feel for the track from riding all day Saturday.
