I saw this letter in the latest Cycle News:
Toronto Supercross 250 class: Adam Cianciarulo, championship points’ leader, has his left shoulder dislocated in the whoops (without crashing). He gets it pulled back into socket with the help of two corner workers and re-enters the race. He retires two laps later.
Toronto Supercross 450 class: Points leader and defending champion Ryan Villopoto spends the day in the hospital due to food poisoning, misses practice and qualifying, and arrives at the track just in time for rider introductions. He finishes sixth and retains the points’ lead.
Qatar MotoGP: Defending champion Marc Marquez has his broken right leg plated in order to race. He takes pole and wins the race in a hard-fought battle with Valentino Rossi.
Fontana NASCAR: Denny Hamlin has sinus problems and will be replaced in the car by Ken Hornish Jr.
Nuff said.
